How the Salish Guide Score Works
A 0–100 summary of what we can check. It is not a safety certification.
The Salish Guide Score is a 0–100 summary of what we can check: angler reviews on The Salish Guide, WDFW license status, how complete and current the profile is, years in business, credentials and responsiveness. It is not a safety certification.
When a Score Appears
We show a number only after the guide's license status is matched to a WDFW public record and the guide has at least 5 Trip-linked reviews on The Salish Guide. Before that, the profile says "Not enough data". Anything we have not checked is left out, not counted against the guide.
Stars are a display of that 0–100 score: stars = score ÷ 20, rounded to the nearest half star. For example, a score of 82 is 4.1, which rounds to 4.0 stars. Below the publication gate, the profile does not draw stars from an unpublished number.
Sources We Don't Use
We don't use star ratings from other websites or booking platforms. The Angler Review Score is the average of reviews left on The Salish Guide.
Paid listings never change a score.
