Claim Your Listing

Claiming a listing is free. It does not change your place in search.

Find Your Listing

Search by your business name, then claim it from the results.

What Claiming Gets You

  • Keep Your Listing Accurate

Propose changes to your description, phone, website, trip types, prices, boat, gear, photos and logo. A moderator approves each change before it goes live.

  • Reply to Reviews

Post one public reply to each review. Replies are moderated before they show.

  • Flag a Review

Tell a moderator when a review looks fake, isn't from a customer, or shares personal information. A flag doesn't hide the review.

  • Your Own Guide Dashboard

Once your claim is approved, signing in takes you straight to it.

How Claiming Works

  1. Sign In With Your Email

We email you a one-time link. We don't use passwords.

  2. Enter Your WDFW License Number

We compare it with the number on the listing. If the listing doesn't have one yet, you add yours and a moderator reviews it.

  3. Send It for Review

A moderator from The Salish Guide checks every claim before approving it.

  4. Manage Your Listing

After approval, your guide dashboard is where you edit your listing and reply to reviews.

What You'll Need

  • An email you can open now. Your sign-in link goes there, and it becomes the sign-in for your guide dashboard.
  • Your WDFW guide or charter license number. If the listing already has one, yours has to match it.

Why We Check

Claiming gives control of a public profile, so we check the license number and a person reviews every claim.

Ask your guide for their WDFW guide license number before you book. A number you add stays License not yet verified until a WDFW record matches it.

Common Questions

Is claiming free?
Yes. Claiming a listing is free, and so is keeping it up to date.
Does claiming change my place in search?
No. Claiming a listing does not change your place in search. The same rules sort every listing, claimed or not.
What does Featured mean?
Featured guides are picked by our editors, and no one pays for Featured today. It is always marked Featured. It does not change reviews or the license status shown on the listing.
Do you take payments?
No. The Salish Guide does not take booking payments. Anglers book and pay you directly.
How do anglers reach me?
Your listing shows your phone and website, and you can update both after you claim. If we have an email for your business, anglers can also send an inquiry from your listing, and it is emailed to you. To add or change that email, edit it from your guide dashboard. A moderator reviews it before it is used.
Can I remove a review?
No. You can reply once and flag a review for a moderator. None of those actions delete a review.
Will you send a code to my email or phone?
Not right now. We would only ever send a code to the contact already on your listing, never to an address you type in. For now, a moderator reviews each claim by hand.
What if my license number doesn't match?
Check it against your WDFW guide or charter license. If the number on the listing is wrong, email hello@salishguide.com.
